Darlington’s subsea specialists secure UAE contract
Darlington based Deep Ocean has won a contract with United Arab Emirates to carry out trenching and backfilling services on a 56km offshore power cabling project. It will be the third project the subsea trenching and cabling specialists have worked on in the region.
Tony Stokes, the firm’s managing director for Asia Pacific and the Middle East, said: “This award is testament to the confidence our clients have in our ability to provide burial solutions in the most difficult soil conditions.”
The company is going from strength to strength after recently announcing they were to install 100 cables on the Hornsea 1 project of the East Yorkshire coast. It is also actively involved with European interconnector projects and is also looking to contracts from the Chinese market.
