Government launches consultation on corporate contributions to grassroots sport
The Government has launched a public consultation on how to expand the support that can be given to grassroots sports through the corporation tax system. In particular, the consultation explores options for introducing a new tax deduction for spending on grassroots sport. The consultation may be of particular interest to national governing bodies and professional sports clubs which make funds of facilities available to affiliated charities or grassroots sports clubs.
The deadline for responses is 15 June 2016.
The consultation document can be downloaded here.
