International group takes over North East subsea specialists
Polish cabling firm Tele-Fonika Kable (TFK) have completed the takeover of JDR Cables, with its sites in Newcastle and Hartlepool, after being given the go-ahead by the regulators.
TFK already have a close working relationship with North East based subsea cabling specialist JDR.
Under the new arrangement JDR’s chief operating officer, Richard Turner, becomes its Chief Executive with parent group TFK promising to maintain JDR’s current operations and sites.

Richard, who joined JDR in 2014 as chief operating officer, said: “The opportunities for JDR from this acquisition are exciting, particularly in continuing to provide innovative products and services.
“JDR has ambitious plans for the future, and we remain committed to being the best in technology, best in customer relationships, and best in continuous improvement.
“Becoming part of the great trade organisation that is TFKable Group is a vital next step for JDR in achieving its aspirations.”
