Newcastle based energy broker wins investment

Troo, the Newcastle based energy broker business has secured £300,000 of investment through the North East Venture Fund (NEVF), supported by the European Regional Development Fund and managed by Mercia, and private investors.

Lawyers at Muckle advised on the deal, with funds to be used to increase its staff headcount, launch its Troo Assure service and develop its business platform.

Troo Assure ‘energy as a service’ offer will provide customers with advice on issues such as new meter connections, energy saving, interruption of service and compliance while ensuring they are on the right tariff and automatically get the best price at renewal.
