TAG Energy saved

TAG Energy Solutions has been acquired by a European consortium which has pledged to create up to 350 jobs in the area. The consortium taking over the Teesside facility includes two international suppliers of offshore wind foundations; EEW SPC of Germany and Bladt Industries of Denmark.

TAG Energy operates the UK’s only automated Tubular Production Facility for the rolling and welding of large diameter steel tubes. The tubes are utilised for offshore foundations including monopiles, transition pieces, tripods and jackets.

The facility will now be upgraded in a £30m investment which will create a "significant additional number of jobs in the local supply chain."
