North East innovators to drive down emissions

Teesside based research agency, Centre for Process Innovation (CPI), is working on technology to convert mechanical motion into electricity.

The aim is to improve tyre condition monitoring, while helping to cut fuel costs and carbon emissions for the car motorised transport sector.

The technology development business is working with Silent Sensors and Bath University on the advanced tyre pressure and condition monitoring technology.

CPI have worked with Silent Sensors before, on truck tyre systems, addressing the multi-billion pound global market for tyre monitoring systems.
