Muckle clients celebrate Dealmaker wins

We’re delighted to have been part of two of the winning deals recognised at Insider Media’s Dealmaker Awards 2022.

A big congratulations to our clients, The Lakes Distillery and Aspire Technology, who took home Deal of the Year (sub £10m) and PE/VC Deal of the Year!

Deal of the Year Sub - £10m – Investment in The Lakes Distillery by Beechbrook Capital

Our long-standing client, The Lakes Distillery, secured funding from Beechbrook Capital in a deal that bolstered the client’s plans to further expand its brand internationally, including exporting to major whisky markets such as USA, France and Japan.

Legal advice was led by Louise Duffy, partner and Head of Banking, with support from corporate partner Sarah Forster and trainee Olivia Tindle. The team worked closely with advisor Abu Ali from specialist Corporate Finance boutique WilliamsAli to deliver the deal.

PE/VC Deal of the Year – Investment in Aspire Technology Solutions by LDC

We advised market-leading North East technology company Aspire on an £85m growth investment deal. Our longstanding client is one of the fastest-growing IT managed service and cyber security providers in the UK.

Experts from our specialist Corporate and Banking teams provided legal advice to Aspire on the transaction. Philip Clare, Corporate Partner, led the deal, working with  Corporate Solicitor Hayden Richards, and Partner and Head of Banking Louise Duffy.
