Double shortlist success at the North East Business Awards
We’re in the running to be named one of the best businesses in the region after being shortlisted in two categories at the prestigious North East Business Awards.
The judging panel has recognised our community work as well as our new technology development with nominations in the ‘Heart of the Community’ and ‘Innovation and Technology’ categories.
Digital focus
The ‘Innovation and Technology’ award recognises companies that have built or embraced new technology to drive their company forward. We’ve been shortlisted for the development of our new debt recovery tool, ‘Muckle Collect’ which uses technology and data analytics to streamline the debt recovery process.
Julie Parr, Director of Business Improvement said: “I am delighted that the Data & Digital team is being recognised for our new technology development and our data thinking approach.
“We have a culture of doing things differently here and Muckle Collect is just one of the many ways we’re using technology to disrupt the legal sector.”
Community spirit
The ‘Heart of the Community' award celebrates excellence in corporate, social and ethical activity, we've won the award 4 times and this will be the 6th time we’ve been shortlisted in this category. As well as the work we do through our Community Fund, we work hard to be a responsible business – leading the way in agile working, green initiatives and pro bono work.
Hugh Welch, Muckle Senior Partner and CSR lead said: “I am extremely proud that we’ve been shortlisted for the Heart of the Community award. We believe our success, and the success of our people, depends on our region thriving as a whole so it’s important that we give back.
“Our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility is fundamental to our culture – it’s not something we do, it’s something we are.”
May the best team win!
We're also delighted that so many of our clients have been shortlisted across a number of categories. Congratulations to Everflow Water, Razorblue, EDM Zone Ltd, PD Ports, Sweetdreams Ltd, SoPost, Newcastle Building Society, Northumberland Football Association, Clearly Drinks, St Oswald’s Hospice, Learning Curve Group, Premier Roof Systems Ltd and Bloom Procurement Services.
The awards will be held on 23rd September 2021 in the Grand Marquee at Hardwick Hall, Sedgefield where we will be up against some stiff competition.
