Not only do wildflower meadows look (and smell) amazing, but they are also a way of increasing biodiversity. However, wildflower meadows are sadly on the decline in the UK; WWF estimates that we’ve lost 97% of our wildflower meadows since the 1930s!1

As part of our commitment to being an environmentally conscious business, lawyers from our Cumbrian team recently planted over 100 wildflower seeds at the Edenhall Estate, next to our Cumbria hub.

Our team was joined by Mark Holden-Hindley, the owner of the Edenhall Estate who kindly gave his permission for us to plant on his land.

Mighty oaks from little acorns grow

The wildflower-seeded butterfly papers first made an appearance at our B Corp celebration day in July. Our people signed and stuck them on our B Corp tree as a symbol of our commitment to the environment.

We've consistently placed a strong emphasis on environmental and social impact alongside profitability and have demonstrated this by our B Corporation® accreditation (or B Corp™).

We also provide legal services through NEPO's procurement solutions, which work with providers to ensure social value is at the heart of all professional service activities provided through the framework.

This is only the start of our ongoing green and reforestation initiatives, with exciting collaborations on the horizon. Watch this space!
