Muckle steps up to raise funds with charity walk

We joined forces with other regional legal professionals for a charity walk to raise much-needed funds for The Access to Justice Foundation.

The charity supports the provision of legal fees and advice to help people who otherwise would not be able to afford it. They estimate 14 million people live in poverty and can’t afford access to justice.

A step in the right direction 

Twenty of our people joined staff from other law firms for a 5K walk, starting at the Law Courts and ending in Ouseburn.

Hugh Welch, senior partner at Muckle, said: "We're delighted once again to support this fantastic effort, and it was great to see so many in our profession turn out for the walk. 

"It's vitally important we continue to support the great work of the trust and to help less fortunate people and charities in our local community gain access to legal services."

We also donated £1,000 directly to the charity from The Muckle Community Fund with The Community Foundation.
