Muckle nominated 15 times for Dealmakers awards 2022
We’re delighted to announce that our team and our clients’ deals have secured 15 nominations across six categories at the Insider North East Dealmakers Awards 2022.
Insider Media has today published its list of shortlisted deals, and we are in the running for fantastic awards category-wide – the nominations themselves recognition of the huge success we’ve enjoyed as a firm so far this year.
Corporate Law Firm of the Year Award
Firm-wide, we’re excited to be in the running once again for Corporate Law Firm of the Year, having won eight times previously – and we see the competition is as fierce as ever.
Corporate Lawyer of the Year
This year we’ve two corporate partners in the running for Corporate Lawyer of the Year: Adam Rayner and Matthew Walsh. It was a Muckle win last year, with Sarah Forster taking the crown in 2021.
PE/VC Deal of the Year
In the Private Equity/Venture Capital Deal of the Year category, our work on two projects makes the list: LDC investment in Aspire, and Pricoa investment in Nixon Hire.
Deal of the Year Sub-£10m
There are three Muckle nominations in the sub-£10m category too: Calculus and Mercia co-investment in Notify, iamproperty acquisition of VTUK, and funding for The Lakes Distillery have all been shortlisted.
Deal of the Year Above £10m
For deal of the year above £10m, Muckle has four nominations including Kitwave’s acquisition of M J Baker and Thunderful’s acquisition of Robot Teddy. LDC’s investment in Aspire and Tenzing’s investment in Mandata are also nominated.
Dealmaking excellence
This year’s winners – including Dealmaker of the Year, sponsored by Muckle LLP – will be announced at the annual North East Dealmaker’s Award Dinner, set to take place at the Hilton Hotel, Gateshead on 29 September 2022, when the names of this year’s judges will also be revealed.
