Muckle LLP bolsters growing Real Estate Team

Due to the increased levels of activities of our growing commercial property client base we have been steadily increasing our team.

Last year, we saw double-digit growth in our real estate business with an increase in new and existing client instructions across the house-building, registered provider and commercial development sectors and we are predicting more of the same for this year.

We have recently made four new appointments into its Real Estate Team.

Jonathan Combe, Partner and Head of our Real Estate Team, said: “We have invested heavily in our team and these new appointments will help to significantly strengthen the breadth and depth of the advice and service that we can offer to our clients.

“Whilst the team continues to work on major regeneration schemes such as the Stephenson Quarter redevelopment, we have also gained from a growing number of out of region instructions.  Expanding our team with quality lawyers ensures we’re well placed to further support clients on their projects.  Our Real Estate Ream now comprises 5 Partners, 5 Associate Solicitors, 9 Solicitors and a Trainee so we now have not just the ability but also the size of team to help our clients on large scale as well as complex portfolio transactions."

Solicitors Alex Hunter, Ian Gibson and Rhiannon Griffiths have joined the firm and solicitor Andrew Thirlwall has qualified into the team, after spending two years as a trainee.

Solicitor Rhiannon has eight years' experience in advising leading UK financial services institutions on a broad range of real estate and finance transactions.

She said: “I am delighted to have joined a team whose focus is on providing the best results for its clients in a clear and commercial way."

Alex Hunter has more than nine years’ experience of real estate work, including landlord and tenant matters, property finance, freehold and leasehold acquisitions, disposals and development projects.  She previously worked for Muckle prior to taking a career break and is delighted to be back.

She said: “The high quality and variety of work which Muckle is involved in was what attracted me back and it's great to be back at Muckle.”

Ian Gibson has four years' experience of acting for commercial developers and the public sector on a variety of real estate matters across the North East.

Ian said: "I am delighted to have joined Muckle where the quality of the work on offer is fantastic.  It's great to be part of something that is growing and to be at a firm which makes such a significant contribution to the local community."

Andrew who qualifies into the Real Estate Team following his training contract says: "Muckle is such a great place to work and it is where I want to build my career."
