Muckle LLP Trainee Wins Law Society Award

A trainee at commercial law firm, Muckle LLP, has been awarded the Newcastle Prize from The Law Society which honors the individual who received the highest mark from entries received on any Legal Practice Course (LPC).

Zoe Ditch gained a first class history degree at the University of Newcastle before earning a commendation for her General Diploma of Law at Northumbria University. She then went on to be awarded with a diploma in Legal Practice with Distinction and gained the highest mark for the Commercial Law Module.

Zoe began her training contract with Muckle LLP in September 2011 and last night she was commended once more at The Newcastle Upon Tyne Law Society Legal awards, where she received the Newcastle Prize.

She said: “I’m delighted to receive this award for my studies.  I have been with Muckle for over a year now, gaining experience in the Banking team, Corporate Real Estate and the Employment team to date. My professional development has been continually supported and it’s great to feel like a valuable member of the team here.”

Hugh Welch, senior partner at Muckle LLP said: “We pride ourselves on being able to recruit the very best trainees and lawyers. Zoe’s enthusiasm and commitment to learn was obvious from her first day with us. She has continued to develop and is a great member of the team. She has had a fantastic first year with us and we congratulate Zoe on her award.”
