New Partner for Expanding Construction and Engineering Team

We are pleased to announce the appointment of a new Partner into the Construction and Engineering Team.  Andrea Gardner will work alongside Rob Langley, leading on large projects and complex procurements in both public and private sectors.

The appointment follows a number of new business wins for the firm, which include organisations such as Jersey Electricity plc, Reform Energy plc, OGN Group, Redhall plc,  McNulty Offshore Construction Limited and Hertel (UK) Limited.

Andrea, who is returning to Muckle LLP after ten years away after starting her legal career at Robert Muckle as a trainee in 1996.  Andrea, is an expert in her field, having worked on a number of high profile Private Finance Initiative (PFI) projects. These include a major waste management scheme, as well as hospital and schools developments. She has also advised on a number of Building Schools for the Future (BSF) schemes, is an expert on renewable energy projects and has also worked on a major redevelopment project in Newcastle city centre, which is the largest single site redevelopment in the city.

She said: “It’s great to be back at Muckle LLP. There are familiar faces here who I am very much looking forward to working with. It’s an exciting time to join; the Construction and Engineering Team is expanding and there are some great opportunities for Muckle LLP to capitalise on.

“My focus will be the non-contentious and building projects side of the business. I have a lot of experience in procurement, running projects and advising on major tenders. It is a side of the business that we can develop and that’s something I am really looking forward to.

"There is some great young talent here at Muckle, who I am keen to help train and develop. Working with Rob Langley again is also something I am very much looking forward to.  He’s nationally renowned expert and we work well together."
