Striking Gold, again!
Hot on the heels of our industry leading Investors In People results, we have struck Gold again and this time it is all about our healthy work environment.
In fact we are delighted to announce that we have successfully achieved the Better Health at Work Gold award, following our Silver recognition last year.
Winning formula
Our assessor praised us for our long-standing commitment to creating a positive culture and our holistic approach to wellbeing.
The award recognised our strategic methods in creating a happy, healthy office environment with popular initiatives such as our workplace walking, cycling and running clubs. Our annual Healthy Living Week, which involves five days of healthy activities, talks and fitness challenges, was also highlighted in the assessment.
Our Being Engaged At Muckle (BEAM) team was seen as key to delivering our social wellbeing goals and making sure our office is a fun place to work.
Through our Mental Health Advocacy team and Time to Change pledge, we are also equipping all our people with the tools, confidence and opportunity to openly discuss their mental health and access the support they need.
It’s good to share
Achieving Gold status also requires businesses to look outside their own organisation and promote health within the wider community. Our office choir, where we’ve teamed up with employees from Brewin Dolphin, and our Muckle Running Social networking event have been key factors in meeting this award criteria.
Nic Leyden, HR director, said: “This is fantastic recognition of the work we do around health and wellbeing – well done to all those involved in helping us make Muckle a great place to work!”
Michael McMullen, Better Health At Work assessor, added: “Muckle are an asset to the programme and it is with great pleasure that assessors are able to endorse their achievement of the Gold level of the Better Health AT Work Award. Congratulations and well done to all those involved!”
