About Sarah
Sarah is an associate in our restructuring team providing pragmatic and commercial advice for office-holders, directors, borrowers, lenders and creditors alike. She assist clients through distressed purchases and lending as well as acting for either office-holder, director or third party side in insolvency claims including preferences, transactions at undervalue and evaluating security.
Sarah has been recognised in the Legal 500 for both her work at Muckle LLP and her previous firm and has been recognised as a “Leading Associate” in the Legal 500 and “Associate to Watch” in Chambers & Partners 2025.
Sarah has continued to build her expertise in all insolvency matters since joining Muckle in 2021. She is preceded by a reputation for assisting regional insolvency practitioners; project managing pre-pack sales and assets sales within insolvency processes and understanding the practicalities.
Having worked on significant investigations into insolvent companies’ actions prior to liquidations and administrations, Sarah liaises to gather third-party information from police, HMRC and other law firms. Sarah has dealt with antecedent transactions and asset realisation, including debt books, and commercial and residential properties.
She is also engaged in advising and assisting in the process of entering into administration or liquidation, including preparing court applications and attending on behalf of the client.
Sarah provides advice and support to lender and borrower clients across a range of transactions but her focus has recently moved to assisting businesses in distress. Whether this to allow for businesses to refinance, renegotiate security packages or even to recover from creditors, Sarah looks to ensure that her advice and negotiations are considered and practical given any set of circumstances.
Sarah has recently been advising on the recovery of a large scale loan book providing legal input into a range of strategically important decisions leading to precedent and policy setting across the depth of the loan book. Such advice includes dealing with consent matters, contributing to decision papers and considering security position for each Borrower.
